It is important for you to know that any documents you needed for a contract, will most likely be needed for the next contract and so forth. Visas will most likely be the only document that may differ depending on your ships sailing itinerary.
You will need your medical documents; the originals and that’s standard. Some ships may not let you join the vessel, without the original documents.
You will need to carry your certificates that you gained on board regarding safety and other aspects with you to each contract as they will most likely want to see them.
Of course you will need your passport, your seaman’s book and any visa documents required for your specific route on board.
Your ‘salary at sea’ card (Royal Caribbean) will need to be taken with you so you can access your funds once you are paid. Your seapass card to use onboard for purchases will be given to you upon arrival of your new ship as a new one will be needed. This is for access on and off ship also.
Name badges can be taken to next contracts although you can request a new one.
Just please be aware it is important to take the original documents and not photocopied documents.
I hope this helps!
